There has been a lot of research over recent years indicating that disease cannot grow in an alkaline environment. And as such, many health professionals have been recommending the focus on keeping your body alkaline.

But what does it mean to alkalize the body?Alkalizing your body simply means reducing its acidity, and you can do that by eating the right kind of foods. There are a lot of benefits to alkalizing your body. An alkalized body often results in more nights of peaceful, deep sleep; an increase in energy; and a reduction in weight.
We’re focusing today on how to start out the day as alkaline as possible. And to do that we’re going to look at the top ways to alkalize our body first thing in the morning.
1. Drink a glass of water with fresh lemon or lime juice

STEP-BY-STEP • Alkalize First Thing in the Morning
Choose the method that feels best for you. At first, if you’re not used to it, the following can feel a little harsh on your stomach. So you might want to start with a little and build up.
You will need:• Your choice of the following ingredients
- Try a glass of water, with the juice of half a lemon, or half a lime.
- Try a bitter greens juice. Adding too much apple or other sweet fruit or vegetable will turn your green juice from alkaline to acidic. So make sure it’s predominantly bitter greens, including: dark, leafy greens, celery, cucumber, romain lettuce. If you’re not used to this level of alkaline foods, this can trigger a detoxification of your system which is healthy, can feel harsh on your stomach at first.
- Drink 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar straight. Similarly if you’re not used being alkaline, this can trigger detoxification which can feel harsh on your stomach at first.
